A Powerful Notcher for Rule 3 pt. and Thicker

The Helmold Heavy Duty Notcher is a variation of the Helmold Standard Notcher. It is designed to easily notch 3 and 4 pt. rule. It can also handle soft creasing rule up to 8 pt. thickness and tempered steel up to 6 pt. thickness. But if the bulk of your notching work is on rule thicker than 4 pt., we recommend moving up to an E-Z Notcher.

The Helmold Heavy Duty Notcher is also equipped with an adjustable link that permits setting up the knives to just pass each other, ensuring that the maximum power is developed. Stripper pins are provided to strip rule from the male knife. Standard notch sizes for this tool are shown below.

Special sizes can be made to order.
Helmold recommends purchasing spare notch knives. This eliminates down time when sending dull knives.

Helmold Heavy-Duty Notcher

Choose either a standard 2-hole female style or a special 4hole female. The 4hole female allows more flexibility in notching smaller radius bent rule that would ordinarily hit the larger 2-hole female block. The Modified Heavy Duty Notcher – This notcher includes a new modification as standard – an adjustable male knife that can be moved forward to accommodate female knives that were previously unusable due to their level of wear.
